Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment – dogs typically live 10 to 15 years and can live longer depending on the breed.
When an individual or family visits us to choose a dog, we want to make sure it is a good fit – for the humans and the dog.
If you want to adopt and be certain that the dog will be a good fit with your family, other pets, and your home environment, you have the option of Rent-A-Rover.
Rent-A-Rover Process
- complete an adoption application and be approved
- choose to “rent” your rover for the day or overnight
- there is a small fee for renting, but if you decide the dog and you are a perfect match, the rental fee will be applied to your adoption fee
- $20 for daytime
- $40 for overnight
- this program has been very successful and over 98% of the dogs are adopted
